Lightweight polycarbonate hood for the 2018 up ascender chassis sleds. Hood is designed to be used with the factory front hood "wings" retaining your factory hood color or wrap. Hood by its self weighs in at just under 3 pounds, stock hood loaded weighs 18 ponds 6oz. Boosted sleds using a snorkel type intake will see a weight reduction of as much as 13 pounds. Naturally aspirated sleds using our nose intake can save as much as 10.5 pounds. We offer a intake option that will allow you to pull intake air from the stock location behind the gauge/under bars, that setup will net a weight savings of 8pounds from the stock setup. Hood retains the stock configuration around the gauge and bars, this factory look avoids the naked look of our proclimb hood and allows you to reuse your goggle bag. Hood includes mounting harware for installation. Intake system is not supplied with the base hood but is available at a extra cost. Note our defender intake does not have to be used with this hood, however you must take sealing up the intake system very serious if the defender is not used, all vents need to have silicone applied to them when being installed, and every bit of the intake system needs to be siliconed to keep powder snow out of your intake. If you are not confident in your abilities to do this running our defender intake with this hood will give you a needed layer of protection. All of the intake vents for this hood feature outerwares pre-filter material applied to the outside of the vents to keep moisture out of your intake.
